What is Verb?

Verb is a data experience platform that gives SaaS developers the tools to build and maintain great dashboards and reports, natively, in their application.

What qualifies as managed data?

Managed data is the data that is ingested by Verb from the data sources connected by an organization. At the end of each billing cycle Verb calculates the amount of managed data by adding the amount of data stored at the end of the previous month plus the amount of data ingested in the current month.

Who counts as an Admin?

Users are those who log into the Verb admin to manage data and create data experiences.

How long does it take to set up Verb?

It generally takes around 10 minutes to understand the concepts of Verb and about an hour to set up your first dashboard. Some complex concepts may take longer to architect but the implementation is quite fast.

How do I deploy my dashboards and experiences?

This depends on the type of experience you're building. For a customer facing dashboard in your application, you'll drop in the Verb SDK where you want the dashboard to render. When you want to make changes to this dashboard, all it takes is a simple publish process.

Can I deploy Verb on-premise?

The on-premise version of Verb Data is on our 2021 roadmap. If you're interested please contact us with any questions.

Is Verb Secure? Where is my data stored?

Yes! Data is always encrypted, in flight and at rest using AES-256-GCM. Your data is completely isolated from other Verb customers in both the lake and warehouse. We will soon offer even more security features like Bring Your Own Key, Bring Your Own Cloud and Deploy On-Prem.

How do I know my users only see their data?

Verb's unique active authentication feature uses your existing authentication method and applies your user's parameters to the row and column level security rules set in your model. You're able to test your configuration before deploying to your environments to ensure the configuration is set correctly.

Who uses Verb? Engineers or non-technical people?

Generally engineers are the ones connecting data sources and setting up the model. Once this is complete the dashboard and experience creation can be done by designers, product managers or anyone else on the team.
